The Missionary Ministry is as old as the church itself. It was designed to help the sick, bereaved, hungry, poor in spirit, and to support the members of the church.
Presently, the ministry consists of seven very active members: Thelma Craig, President, Belinda Craig, Secretary, Eva Lee, Treasurer, Karen Williams, Women and Girls Missions; Jessie Craig, Geneva Ingram, and Otelia Jones. We are a member of the Bluestone Harmony Association. We send donations to local organizations. We physically lend a helping hand within the community where there is a need. We meet once a month to study from the Missionary Worker Booklet. It Booklet informs us of what other Missionary Ministries are doing to uplift God’s kingdom and it gives us lessons and scriptures that we can follow to strengthen our Ministry. We sponsor The Pre-Thanksgiving Family and Friends Day Dinner Service which is always held the third Sunday in November at three o’clock.
The WHBC Communication and Media Ministry started September 2012 by Media Specialist Stacy L. Craig. The purpose of the ministry is to keep the community, neighboring churches, and church members near and far, up to date with church events. Also, to reach people in a positive way by spreading the word of God through the use of modern technology. Our mission is to be vocal about God’s word and make a connection. The ministry strives to keep information flowing weekly through its Facebook page, website, bulletin, newsletter and other social media outlets.
