 Reverend Lewis Reginald Hurt Sr.

     Reverend L. Reginald Hurt Sr. is a native of Lunenburg County. He is one of ten children born to the late Deacon Lewis and Annie D. Hurt. He is a devoted husband to Reverend Eva B. Hurt, loving father of five children and grandfather to six beautiful grandchildren.

     Rev. Hurt is an educated and hard- working man of God. He received his education through the Lunenburg County Public School System and South Side Community College in Keysville, VA where he obtained his Electrician Certification. Later, he received his Master Virginia State Electrical License. He put his electrical education to good use in the Maintenance Department as the Electrical Supervisor at the Nottoway Correctional Center where he worked and now retired.

     He received his Certificates in Religious Studies through the Evans and Smith Leadership Program held at the Bluestone Harmony Baptist Head Quarter Building. The Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology of the Virginia Union University and The Baptist General Convention sponsored these studies.

      Reverend Hurt has zealously taken on many positions while serving in his Christian journey. He was an Associate Minister of the Lone Oak Baptist Church of Keysville, Virginia, where Reverend Vincent Eanes serves as pastor. Reverend Hurt, along with his wife, functioned as pastor of Tussekiah Baptist Church located in Lunenburg Court House, Virginia. Reverend Hurt, along side his wife, served as pastors at the High Bridge Baptist Church in Rice, Virginia. He was also the pastor of the West Hill Baptist Church until relocating to Georgia in July 2020.

     He served as a moderator of the Bluestone Harmony Baptist Association and president of the Bluestone Harmony Baptist Clergy Ministry. Also, he served as president of various ministries and civil organizations, such as the NAACP.

   Reverend Hurt says, that he is thankful to be a born again Christian and one of God’s servants. In addition he thanks God for having a loving family and church families.

Former First Lady Reverend Eva B. Hurt

     First Lady Rev. Eva B. Hurt is a former native of Mecklenburg County Virginia.  She is the daughter of the late Deacon James Baskerville and Deaconess Daisy C. Baskerville. Not only is she a daughter but a loving mother of five, grandmother of six and devoted wife to Rev. L. Reginald Hurt. Rev. Eva B. Hurt obtained her early education from the West End High School in Clarkesville, VA from which she graduated. She furthered her studies at John H. Daniels Southside Community College in Keysville, VA becoming certified in Early Childhood Education. Also, she attended Lynchburg seminary and College and was certified in Religious Studies through the Evans and Smith Leadership Program of the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. After, obtaining her certifications she opened her own state licensed Child/Adult Day Care Home from which she is now retired. In January of 1986 she became a licenses minister and was ordained in October of 1986 through the Bluestone Harmony Baptist Association under the leadership of the late Rev. E. Parker Ghee. First Lady Rev. Hurt had many roles in the ministry of God. She is a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church of Keysville, VA, which is under the leadership of  Rev. Vincent Eanes –Pastor. She was the Co- Pastor and First Lady of the High Bridge Baptist Church of Rice, VA and First Lady of the West Hill Baptist Church of Victoria, VA. She has also served as President of the Bluestone Harmony Women Missionary Ministry-Usher Ministry and Clergy Ministry. Rev. Hurt also served as Past Chairperson of the Area E District E-2 Women Ministry, Vice President of the Baptist General Convention Area E Ministry. Currently, she holds the position as Second Vice Moderator of the Bluestone Harmony Baptist Association in Keysville, Virginia.
Rev. Hurt’s ministry is not limited to the church but it is expanded to the community. She devotes herself in spreading love and encouragement to other children that she calls her adopted kids.  She also served as an Aide on the Special Needs School Bus for Charlotte County Public School System. She is thankful and gives God all the praises allowing her to keep ministering everyday.  

 Associate Pastor Reverend Charles Lee

 Charles Lee, Jr. was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia on December 1, 1947.  He received his primary education at the former Camp School, a one-room schoolhouse, located south of the town of Kenbridge.  Charles was transferred to the Kenbridge Graded School after leaving the Camp School.  In 1963, he enrolled in eighth grade at Lunenburg High School in Victoria, Virginia.  Charles was a member of the football team during his high school years, and in June 1966, he received his diploma. Charles joined the U. S. Army in the fall of 1966, serving three years, with an honorable discharge in 1969.  Following his military service, Charles returned home to Kenbridge to begin his new life in the construction business.  He met and married Shirley A.  Robertson in August of 1971.  They have raised Charles’ younger brother and sister in addition to their two children.  Charles enjoys traveling and playing golf. In the early 1980 Charles joined the West Hill Baptist Church where he was ordained a deacon in December of 1986.  His other positions include treasurer, trustee, member and president of the senior choir, Sunday school and Bible study teacher.  Charles received his Certificate of License into the Gospel Ministry in January 2006.  In addition, Charles has continued his Biblical studies through the Virginia Union University Evans-Smith Leadership Training Program at Bluestone-Harmony Headquarters in Keysville, Virginia
